Provestra questions, answered

Straight answers to the practical questions women ask before ordering Provestra, based on what the maker, Leading Edge Health, publishes as of October 2026. Where its pages leave something out, we say so.

Updated

What is Provestra?

Provestra is a daily herbal supplement for women, made by Leading Edge Health. The maker says it is meant to support desire and comfort, including around menopause, with a blend of herbs, vitamins and minerals. It is sold as a dietary supplement, not as a medicine.

That also means Provestra is not FDA-approved. Under US law, the FDA does not have the authority to approve dietary supplements before they go on sale. The maker says Provestra is made in the USA in a cGMP-compliant facility (cGMP stands for current good manufacturing practice) and that certificates of analysis are available.

How do I take Provestra?

Take one Provestra tablet a day, preferably with a meal. That is the suggested use on the Supplement Facts label shown on the maker’s product page, which also suggests taking it every day on an ongoing basis.

Each box holds 30 tablets, so at one tablet a day a box lasts about a month. The tablet also contains vitamins and minerals, including 12 mg of iron (75% of the Daily Value). If you already take a multivitamin, an iron supplement or any medicine, show both labels to a pharmacist before you start.

What is in Provestra?

The maker lists 21 ingredients in Provestra. They include herbs such as damiana leaf, Korean ginseng, ginkgo biloba, black cohosh, licorice root and red raspberry, along with L-arginine, theobromine, indole-3-carbinol and a set of vitamins and minerals such as iron and zinc.

The maker shows the amount of each ingredient on a Supplement Facts panel, the standard US supplement label that lists each dietary ingredient and how much is in one serving. Some examples per tablet:

  • L-arginine: 300 mg
  • Theobromine: 50 mg
  • Indole-3-carbinol: 35 mg
  • Korean ginseng: 16 mg
  • Iron: 12 mg; zinc: 9 mg
  • Ginkgo biloba, damiana leaf, black cohosh and the other listed herbs: 25 mg each

The same panel states that Provestra contains no estrogen, progesterone, testosterone or other steroid hormones. You can see every amount in the full ingredient table on our how-it-works page. The label image on the maker’s site appears to date from 2019, so compare it with the panel on the box you receive.

Does Provestra work?

No one can honestly promise that Provestra will work for you, or say how soon you might notice a difference. The maker’s pages list no human clinical trial of Provestra; the only Provestra paper listed on its safety page is an acute oral toxicity study.

The maker reports one survey: it asked 488 women who had bought Provestra, and 98% said they would buy it again. That figure describes repeat buying among existing customers, not results, and the maker doesn’t say how the survey was run.

In practice, the maker’s 67-day refund gives you a window to judge for yourself, within its conditions (see the refund question below). And if your desire has changed suddenly, or sex is painful, see a doctor before trying any supplement. Those changes deserve a proper check.

Does Provestra have side effects?

The maker doesn’t list side effects or warnings for Provestra on its product and safety pages, as we read them in October 2026, but that is not evidence that there are none.

Several of the ingredients carry known cautions from health authorities. For example, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) notes that ginkgo may raise bleeding risk in people who take blood thinners. Our ingredient-by-ingredient safety guide covers the others, such as black cohosh and the liver, and licorice and blood pressure. If you notice anything unusual after starting Provestra or any supplement, stop taking it and contact your doctor.

Who should check with a doctor before taking Provestra?

Anyone who is pregnant, nursing, taking medicine or managing a health condition should ask a doctor or pharmacist before starting Provestra. That includes you if:

  • You are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • You take prescription medicine, especially blood thinners or medicine for blood pressure, diabetes or hormones.
  • You have a liver, kidney or heart condition, or a history of hormone-sensitive cancer.
  • You have surgery coming up.

These are general precautions for supplements, not a warning the maker publishes. Many supplements haven’t been tested in pregnant or nursing women, some interact with medicines, and some pose risks with certain health problems or before surgery, as NCCIH explains in its guide to using dietary supplements wisely. NCCIH also says ginkgo, one of Provestra’s ingredients, may be unsafe during pregnancy.

Do I need a prescription for Provestra?

No. The maker says no prescription is needed for Provestra, which is sold as a dietary supplement rather than a prescription drug. That still doesn’t make it right for everyone. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take prescription medicine or have an ongoing health condition, ask a doctor or pharmacist first.

How much does Provestra cost?

Provestra costs $59 for one box on the maker’s official store, with two boxes at $119 and three at $179 (prices checked October 23, 2026):

Pack Price Maker’s regular price
1 box (30 tablets) $59 $69
2 boxes $119 $138
3 boxes $179 $207

By simple math, the two- and three-box packs come to $59.50 and about $59.67 a box, so a bigger pack doesn’t lower the price per box. The store shows your final total, including shipping and any tax, before you pay. Prices can change, so check the store on the day you order. Our order page explains the packs and how ordering works.

Where can I buy genuine Provestra?

Buy Provestra from the maker’s official store; the order buttons on ProvestraDirect.com go there. The maker warns that counterfeit health supplements can be dangerous. Its list of authorized distributors names only online marketplaces in Asia and no US retailer.

If you are in the US, order from the official store, where the product comes straight from the maker and its refund terms apply to your order.

How is Provestra shipped?

The maker says Provestra ships in a plain package with a shipping label that doesn’t identify the contents. Shipping cost appears at checkout before you pay. The maker’s free-shipping note covers only the lower 48 US states and excludes Alaska, Hawaii and other territories; its pages don’t say whether every order inside the lower 48 ships free.

According to the maker’s terms, delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Once you’ve ordered, you can look up your tracking number on the maker’s order-tracking page.

How do I pay for Provestra?

You pay for Provestra on the maker’s store at checkout, and the maker’s terms say payment is due when you place the order. For a single box, the store also shows an option of four interest-free payments of $14.75 with Sezzle.

The maker says card details are held by a Level 1 PCI-compliant payment processor and that order data is sent over an encrypted SSL connection. Its privacy policy also says it may share customer data with select third parties for marketing, and that you can opt out by contacting the maker. ProvestraDirect.com never sees your payment details.

What if Provestra doesn’t work for me?

You can ask the maker, Leading Edge Health, for a refund of the product price, as long as your return arrives back at its warehouse within 67 days of delivery. As of October 26, 2026, the conditions on the maker’s refund page are:

  1. Get a return authorization number, which the maker calls an RMA, before sending anything. You request it with the form on the refund page; the maker says it replies within 48 hours and emails the RMA number. Returns without one are not refunded.
  2. Send back the empty containers, plus any unopened boxes. If you ordered several boxes, the first two opened containers and any unopened ones can go back.
  3. Make sure the parcel arrives at the maker’s warehouse within 67 days of delivery. The deadline is for arrival, not for posting.
  4. Pay the return shipping yourself. The refund covers the product price; shipping charges are not refunded.
  5. Keep in mind the limit of one refund per customer.

Request the RMA well before day 67 and send the package by tracked mail, which the maker also recommends. Our step-by-step refund guide walks through the whole process.

Who runs ProvestraDirect.com?

ProvestraDirect.com is an independent site, not the maker of Provestra. It earns a commission when you order through its links and adds nothing to your price; how this site earns money explains the arrangement. The site doesn’t take orders, payments or personal data. Leading Edge Health runs the store, payment, shipping and refunds. Questions about the site itself can go to admin@provestradirect.com.

How do I contact the maker of Provestra?

Contact Leading Edge Health through its contact page for anything about an order, delivery, tracking or a refund. The page has a contact form and a link for finding your tracking number. ProvestraDirect.com can’t see or change orders.

For questions about your own health, including whether Provestra suits you, your doctor or pharmacist is the right person to ask. They can look at the label alongside everything else you take and give you an answer that fits you.
